Code of Conduct

Our community is open to everyone. We strive to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all participants.

The Code of Conduct describes our expectations towards the behavior of the participants and the consequences of misbehavior. We encourage all sponsors, speakers, mass media and other participants to help us enforce the concept of safe and comfortable Conference for everyone.

The participants’ expected behavior includes (non-exhaustive list):

• Being polite and respectful to other participants and being ready to communicate

The participants’ expected behavior excludes:

• Humiliating or discriminating behavior and speech

Please be attentive to other participants of the Conference. If you notice an unsafe situation, please notify the organizers.

How to Determine Unacceptable Behavior

There are several features of unacceptable behavior: intimidation, harassment, violence, offense, discriminative and humiliating actions of any participant of the event.

We also consider it unacceptable: making abusive remarks (whether orally, in written or in any other way) about gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability; intentional intimidation and harassment; deliberate breakdown of negotiations or other events; unwelcome physical contact; unwelcome sexual favors.

It is prohibited to possess a weapon or other objects that may be dangerous for others in the Conference premises.

It is prohibited to possess open cans, bottles, or other containers of any alcoholic beverages, everywhere except for the areas, where alcohol consumption is allowed.

Conference operates a no smoking policy in all its premises except where permission signs are displayed.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

If you were asked to stop actions that may be considered unacceptable, do so immediately.

If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the organizers of the event may take any actions that they consider necessary, including banning from the Conference without refund and warning.

What to Do if You Witness or Are Subject to Unacceptable Behavior

If you are subject to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subject to unacceptable behavior, please promptly notify the organizers of the Conference. All such reports are strictly confidential.

The Conference organizers are ready to help its participants and call security service or local law enforcement to escort and help or otherwise assist those experiencing unacceptable actions.

We expect all participants (staff, sponsors, volunteers, speakers, and other guests) to abide by this Code of Conduct at all conference venues and other Conference premises.

Up
